Online therapy is a relatively new innovation that takes advantage of the growth of the online community and the convenience of online services. While not constructed to take the place of traditional therapy, online therapy may be a convenient, effective and secure way to begin addressing some of your specific concerns.

What You’ll Need

1. A location that is quiet, interruption free and with good lighting.
2. A computer equipped with a web camera and microphone
3. FaceTime capability
4. A Skype account-Sign up for a free account using the links below.
5. Send your Skype name to: [email protected]
6. Add the name Therapistmichelle to your Skype contacts.

Setting up a Session

1. Schedule an appointment with the therapist in advance.
2. Pay for your session using this website. Major credit cards are accepted.
3. Please make your payment at least 1 hour prior to your session.

Starting a Session

At the designated appointment time, have your computer connected to the Internet with FaceTime or Skype open and running on your computer. You will appear to other Skype users as being online. The therapist will initiate a video call to start the session. When you accept the request, the session will begin.
